1. Information we collect
Account information
When you create an account, we collect your email address and any profile information you provide. We use this to authenticate you and personalise your experience.
Usage data
We collect information about how you interact with IdeasGo — including the ideas you submit, reports you generate, and features you use. This data is used to improve our product and AI models.
Payment information
Payments are processed by Stripe. IdeasGo does not store your full credit card number. We receive limited payment metadata (last 4 digits, card brand, billing country) to manage your subscription.
Technical data
We automatically collect IP addresses, browser type, device information, and cookies when you use IdeasGo. This helps us ensure security, debug issues, and measure performance.
2. How we use your information
Providing the service
Your account data and submitted ideas are used to generate AI reports, maintain your workspace history, and deliver the core IdeasGo experience.
Improving our AI
Anonymised, aggregated usage patterns help us improve the quality of our AI analysis. Individual reports are not used to train third-party AI models without explicit consent.
Communications
We may send you transactional emails (account activity, billing) and, with your consent, product updates. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time.
Security and fraud prevention
We use technical data to detect abuse, protect user accounts, and ensure the integrity of our platform.
3. Data sharing
We do not sell your data
IdeasGo does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party for their marketing purposes.
Service providers
We share data with trusted service providers who help us operate IdeasGo — including Supabase (database & auth), Stripe (payments), and Google (AI). These providers are bound by data processing agreements.
Legal requirements
We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of IdeasGo, our users, or the public.
4. Data retention
Account data
We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or financial compliance purposes.
Report data
Business reports you generate are retained in your workspace until you delete them or close your account.
5. Your rights
Access and portability
You can access and download your account data and reports at any time from your workspace.
Correction
You can update your account information at any time through your account settings.
Deletion
You can delete your account and all associated data by contacting us at privacy@ideasgo.dev. We will process your request within 30 days.
Objection
If you are located in the EU or UK, you have the right to object to certain processing activities. Contact us to exercise this right.
6. Cookies
Essential cookies
We use cookies that are strictly necessary to operate IdeasGo — including authentication tokens and session management cookies. These cannot be disabled.

How we protect your data
We use industry-standard security measures including TLS encryption in transit, encrypted databases at rest, and role-based access controls. However, no system is completely secure. We encourage you to use a strong, unique password for your IdeasGo account.
